FEBRUARY
Friday, February 14th – Valentines Dance with Tony Knight, 6:30 to 9:30. Tickets are $10 from Beverly Brooks Gore or Diane Tebaldi. Bring snacks to share at your table. Diane Tebaldi is the chairperson. Table reservation available at 1pm the day of the event.
Saturday, February 15th 9am; Community Breakfast. Menu: Ham, Scrambled Eggs, Hash Brown Potato Casserole, Cinnamon Muffin, Juice and coffee. Tickets $8 available from Patty Shaffer or Beverly Brooks-Gore. Chairperson: Patty Shaffer. Ticket Purchase Deadline: Wednesday, February 12th
Sunday, February 16th – Spring Poker Run – Sign up in the clubhouse hallway for the Poker Run. $5.00 Per Card to Play to be paid the day of the event. Meet at the Pub at 4 PM to get your list of designated homes to go to draw your cards. Bring cards back by 5 PM for judges to determine the winning hands. All money collected will be returned to players with the best hand. Joann Hoffman is the Poker Run chairperson. DINNER TO FOLLOW AT 5:30. Menu is Italian Sub and fixings, Salad, Chips and Dessert. Dinner tickets are $10 and available until February 9th from Beverly Brooks Gore or Diane Tebaldi. Dinner tickets must be purchased in advance by February 9th. Dinner Chairperson: Linda Wright.
Friday, February 21st and Saturday, February 22nd – LHE Community Garage Sale, Hot Dog Sale, and Bake Sale. Friday 8am to 1pm Garage Sale is for LHE residents only. Saturday, 8am to 1pm, the garage sale is open to the public, with a bake sale and hot dog roast. Sign up in the clubhouse hallway if you plan to participate in the community garage sale. The Fee is $2 per house to help pay for the advertising. Fee must be paid at the office. Garage sale chairperson is Linda Wright. Volunteers are needed to bake and donate items to be sold at the bake sale. Please sign up at the clubhouse. Pat Dey is the bake sale chairperson.
MARCH
Sunday, March 2nd – Derby Day Dinner and Fun; 5:30PM; Tickets $10 from Beverly Brooks-Gore or Diane Tebaldi. Come for the fun, stay for the dinner. Wear your derby hat. Drink Special – Mint Julep. Menu is Pulled Pork Sandwich, Southern Potato Salad, Bourbon Baked Beans, and Derby Dessert. Ticket purchase deadline is February 23rd. Chairperson is Linda Wright.
Wednesday, March 12th– Old-Fashioned Potluck. Bring your favorite dish to share and join us for an evening of food and fellowship. It can be a salad, vegetable, potato or meat dish or a dessert. This is an “old-fashioned” potluck, so we will need some folks to bring their favorite meat dish to share as no meats will be provided. Sign up in the hallway with number attending and type of dish that you will bring to share. Signup deadline is March 7th. Bring your own table service. Chairperson: Colette Parker
Tuesday, March 25th – Ladies Salad Luncheon with a special speaker. Additional information will be forthcoming.
APRIL
Sunday, April 20th – Easter Dinner Potluck – Social committee will provide the ham. Sign up will be in the hallway after March 1st with the number attending and type of dish that you will bring to share. Guests are welcome but must have a guest ticket available from Beverly Brooks Gore. Bring your own table service. Regina Mitchell is chairperson.
