OCTOBER
- October 28 – October Ladies Luncheon will be held Tuesday, October 28 at Sizzling Grill in Lake Wales. Sign up COD at the clubhouse by 10/25/25. Meet at the restaurant by 11:30am on the 28th. Any questions, call Rhoda Rice.
- October 31st – Halloween Party and Dance 6:30 to 9:30. Music from Cindie Breeze and Band. Patty Shaffer will chair, bring snacks to share at your table
NOVEMBER
- November 1- December 2 Salvation Army Toy Drive . Beth Muntzinger will chair. We will be collecting new unwrapped children’s toys to be donated to the Salvation Army for distribution to needy children. Deadline to donate is December 2nd per the Salvation Army deadline.
- November 8 – Breakfast at 9 A.M. Tickets are $8.00
Menu: Bacon, Scrambled Eggs, Pancakes, Fruit, Juice & Coffee.

Chairperson: Liz Albert - November 11th – Veterans Day; Polk County has a free program that honors each branch of the military. LHE Residents that are Veterans will be free but must get a ticket from Beverly Brooks-Gore, so we know the number attending to plan the meal. Dinner is $15 and begins at 5:30 and the program at 6:30. Menu is Ham Steak, Southern Potato Salad, Bourbon Baked Beans, and Roll. Dessert will follow the program. Carmen Wilde will chair. - November 21 – Harvest Dance with Fever Band; 6:30-9:30PM; Tickets $10. Bring snacks to share at your table. Patty Shaffer will chair. See clubhouse poster for more information.
- November 27th – Thanksgiving Potluck Buffet at 1PM. Social will provide the turkey. Must sign up in the clubhouse hallway with the number attending and the type of dish you will be bringing. Residents may bring guests but must have a $5 Guest ticket available from Beverly Brooks-Gore. Rhoda Rice will chair. See clubhouse poster for more information.
- November 29th – Decorate the Clubhouse begins at 9am. Regina Mitchell will chair.
DECEMBER
- December 6th – Children’s Auction. Dee Albarado will chair. See clubhouse poster for more information. How the Auction Works: Bring a wrapped NEW gift item to donate (something that you would be happy to receive) to the Pub anytime on Saturday. The minimum to spend for the gift is $20. Come that evening with a generous heart and a fat wallet and bid on the donated gifts. You go home with a nice surprise gift and the money raised will be donated to Fundamentals for Kids.
- Adopt a Senior Program – Carmen Wilde will chair. Tags from Lake Alfred Nursing Home resident gift requests will be on the tree on Nov. 29th. Sign out a tag (so we know who has it). Bring the wrapped gift back to the clubhouse by the deadline to be delivered to the nursing home residents.
- Christmas Card Elves – Christmas Cards for your LHE neighbors may be brought to the clubhouse, put in the appropriate address boxes, and will be delivered by the elves. Jeanne Whitt will chair. Dates for delivery will be available by Dec 1st.
- December 15th – Bell Choir Program and Candlelight Service at 7PM – Kris Bomgarden has arranged to have the Bronze Bell Christmas Bell Choir Program followed by a Candlelight Service chaired by Diane Tebaldi with the help of Tammi Shafer. A treat and coffee will be provided after the service. The event is free but you must get a ticket from Beverly Brooks-Gore or Diane Tebaldi so we know how many will be attending.
